It’s 2023 and it’s quite amazing to think that I have been blogging since 2011!
That’s more than a decade. And I’ve had friends who have started the blogging journey ahead of me and have moved on. That is, they have stopped blogging.
Well, I’m still here. I’m here because I still love to write and somehow, I still have partners and contacts who still give me opportunities to earn. Creating online content still works for me.
How It All Began. I was working in an office job in 2011 and found myself needing a break. Prior to this office work, I had years of print journalism experience as editor and writer so a friend of mine suggested why not pursue blogging and online content creation should I exit my job. And so that’s what I did.
As they say, build the nest and the birds will come. I began creating content for my blog and then the invitations came. I was invited to write reviews, promote products. And then to create content for other sites, work on social media campaigns for brands and participate in affiliate programs.
No, I did not get rich doing all these 🙂 But online content creation sustained me for years as I explored what possible career I can pursue after my stint with office work.
