Music, Literature and the United Kingdom

When I think about the United Kingdom, two things come to my mind: literature and music.
Land of Writers and Musicians. Ever since I first read of William Shakespeare’s literary works during my teen years, his verses and the country where he came from has captured my mind. And as to music, I grew up listening and loving the songs of the Beatles, thanks largely to my elder brother. And what’s more, I’ve heard about the annual music festival done simultaneously in two parks right there! Would’t you be curious to witness the V Festival which began in 1996? And it you are excited to get Tickets for the festival, you should really check out V Festival Tickets right here on the internet. Now, this means you can access the best ticket deals as well 🙂
Places to Visit. For me then, a visit to the UK wouldn’t be complete without visiting the places where Shakespeare as well as other beloved writers of all time have penned their verses. The list of brilliant writers from there is staggering but I would be content to see the places where Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, Ben Jonson, Jane Austen, T.S. Eliot, C.S. Lewis and R.R. Tolkien breathed their regular share of fresh air or birthed their writing. As to musical adventures in the UK, I would love to see places known by the Beatles, Elton John, Oasis — just to name a few. We all know of course that music is one gift that a number of British bands and singers have given not only to their land but to the world.
Now, what about you? What comes to your mind when you think about the United Kingdom? What would be on your list of things to do when you are there for a trip?
