It seemed like the year had just started and before we know it, we’re now in the last month of the year. And just like that December is here and it’s Christmas 2022!
It’s that time of the year again when we have more than our share of fun and food with family and friends. And the songs and gifts swirl all around us reminding us that this IS a different season of the year.
Christmas won’t be complete though without recognizing the reason for the season. And so we thank God for the ultimate gift of His Son, Jesus Christ:
As the Gospel of John points out:
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
So let the songs of the season surround us as we celebrate the season AND the Reason for the season!
