As I bid good bye to July and welcome the month of August, I look back and realize that these verses from Psalm 91 have been part of my readings during the 1st week of July. And just as the month is now ending, these verses are again brought to my attention. These have been very encouraging to me.
I hope as you read the verses below they will also bring hope and inspiration to you just as they did to me. And may these be a reminder to you and me who our Fierce Protector is as we live and travel through this life.
1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

1 When you sit enthroned under the shadow of Shaddai,
you are hidden in the strength of God Most High.
2 He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me,
the only God for me, and my great confidence.
3 He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy,
and he will protect you from false accusation
and any deadly curse.
4 His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you.
You can run under his covering of majesty and hide.
His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.
