It certainly is a long way for one to travel from Asia to South Africa but perhaps someday soon, we who are curious about this place and its people, will have our feet kissing this land.
South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is located at the southern tip of Africa. Honestly, I did not think much about this before but in reality not all of Africa is South Africa 🙂 South Africa is just one part of Africa. The neighbouring countries of South Africa are: Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe as well as Mozambique and Swaziland. And within it lies Lesotho, an enclave surrounded by South African territory.
South Africa is the 25th-largest country in the world by land area. It has a population of 53 million people, making it the world’s 24th-most populous nation.
This video on YouTube shows South Africa’s 9 provinces. Just from watching the video, I think you would agree that this country should be on any traveler’s dream list.
