Between Steps Food & Drink

Shakin' in December

Warning to my readers: I am not writing a travel post for today.
After talking for some months about getting our own blender, the hubby and I finally got one. You see, we would talk about it often and yet, somehow end up forgetting to buy it. We finally did and we have been enjoying cool fruit shakes right in our own humble home.
It is the hubby who loves buying fruits and then making the shake while I greatly enjoy the finished product πŸ™‚ Take note, however, that I do the cleaning and washing after. Yup, life is supposed to be fair, guys and ladies πŸ™‚
We have enjoyed fresh avocado, mango and carrot shakes. The hubby also made a shake one time combining avocado and banana. Super delicious!
By the way, should you wonder what is the difference between a shake and a smoothie, a shake will have milk or ice cream with it or both. It is a dairy affair while the smoothie will just be plain fruits. For our fruit shake, we include a bit of honey with the milk. Β It’s a great treat, something that you should really try if you haven’t done so.

  3. That looks so yummy, sis! I love shake/smoothie. Actually, a smoothie here is still with milk. Even those that are sold sa stores, it has milk na rin. So pretty much, a shake and a smoothie is just the same to me. πŸ™‚
    BPC hop!
