Cave Exploring in Dauis

Do caves fascinate you?
On our October trip to my place of birth (Bohol), my siblings took me and my hubby and a couple of friends (JR and Gold from Mindanao) to the Hinagdanan Cave in Dauis, Bohol.ย It is quite accessible from Bohol’s capital city, Tagbilaran. Dauis is only about ย 15 minutes from the city . The Hinagdanan Cave is also about a stone’s throw away from the beautiful Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa.
This was not a first time for me to check out the cave but a first one for my hubby and for our friends.ย There is an entrance fee to be paid to go inside and view the cave (P20 or less than a dollar). To park your car, you also pay a similar amount.
There are a number of souvenir shops outside the cave’s entrance. The scenario is a far cry from my earliest visit to the cave during my teen age years. But well, Bohol has blossomed as a key tourist spot worldwide and thus the demand for souvenir items has also risen up through the years.
When In Bohol and when you are checking out Panglao or Dauis, take time to also drop by this natural wonder. I must warn you that the cave is also underground so you need do some climbing down and then climbing back up but with the use of concrete stairs ๐Ÿ™‚ ย But then that’s good exercise for us, travelers ๐Ÿ™‚
