Enjoying Bohol's Sagbayan Peak

This is one more place in Bohol to enjoy nature: Sagbayan Peak.  It certainly has its own charm and beauty. Travelling there from the capital city, Tagbilaran, takes more than an hour. But when you do get to the town of Sagbayan, you’ll get to see a refreshing view of the world famous Chocolate Hills as seen in this part of Bohol.
There is also a Children’s park (Kidstown) at the Peak and a couple of restaurants to serve your hungry tummy. A swimming pool has also been developed in the area; you also get the chance to see up close and even touch the Bohol tarsier, the smallest primate in the world, near the Peak’s entrance. But like me and my hubby, you might also find it quite enjoyable to see up close a number of pretty butterflies flitting around in the Butterfly dome. Check out some of our photos below and remember to check out Sagbayan Peak when you get to Bohol.

UPDATE: Bohol was hit by an Intensity 7.2 earthquake last October 15, 2013. The Chocolate Hills have been affected and some structures in Sagbayan Peak have also been damaged. The town hall in Sagbayan has not been spared from damages as well. Let me know if you would like to help the province of Bohol and its people as they recover from the earthquake so I can connect you with agencies and organizations doing relief work there. Your prayers and your help for Bohol, my land of birth, are greatly appreciated.

    1. The Chocolate hills of Bohol can be seen from the towns of Carmen and Sagbayan (Sagbayan Peak). The hills are scattered all throughout the towns of Carmen, Sagbayan and Batuan.

  9. Maganda talaga sa Bohol. I love my own, native land hahaha. But, honestly maganda talaga don. Simple, peaceful and less polluted compared sa ibang lugar 🙂
