We were driving back to Christchurch from Hanmer Springs when I caught sight of herds of deer in the field. I immediately told my cousin to stop driving so we could check  them out. Seeing these herds of deer out in the field was a special treat for my hubby and me during our recent trip  to New Zealand. We both love nature and animals and while we have seen a deer before, it was always inside the zoo. Out in the fields, the deer appeared healthier and yes, freer 🙂
