And so before we know it we are moving on to March! It feels like it was just yesterday when we welcomed in the new year 2025.
If you’re like me, your daily life would include hours poured into working and earning a living. And then facing challenges (and stresses in life!). We really need to learn how to roll with life’s punches coming our way. So, how do you cope? How do you unwind after a long day?
For me, personally, one of the ways I chill out is to play computer games. And that includes online games. Nothing could be cooler, of course, that we can now access online games and all for free! Yup, no need to sweat out some bucks for this kind of fun 🙂
I came across the site of Culinary Schools and discovered that it also offers free online games for both kids and adults! You heard or rather read it right. I’m talking about free online Brain Games and Sports Games for both kids and adults! And I tried them myself.
There will always be games that capture and sustain our interest more than the others. In the end, after trying the many featured games (yes, there are many!), five games keep “calling” me back to play 🙂 Let me tell you a bit more about them. You might even find these games interesting yourself. Here we go.
Waffle. I’m into word games or world puzzle games and the Waffle game was a fun challenge for me. It’s a word search game with letters placed inside the squares of a waffle. You need to click on adjacent cells and drag in any direction (including diagonally) to spell words. Each word you spell is worth points based on the numbers shown on the letter tiles. And this game, by the way, can be played not just in English but in 5 other languages as well: German, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese.

Guess Word Game. This is another word game that I enjoyed. In this word guessing game, you must enter valid English dictionary words one at a time. And then, some tiles will turn yellow indicating that the letter is in the target word, and some tiles will turn teal indicating that the letter is in the correct position. There is a limited number of guesses to complete each word. You score more points if you reach or find the target term fast. I found the game challenging — it’s a a good exercise for the brain as you think about words which could be the target term. So, if you want a good brain challenge, go ahead and try the Guess Word Game.

Hidden Objects City. This is just how I really am. I like finding things, solving mysteries. I’m a detective wanna-be. So, if there is any hidden object game available, I’m one who will go for it. Hidden Objects City is a hidden object search game where players must find 9 items in each of the 4 scenes. Score points are based on how quickly you can find the items. So that’s the challenge here, you need to find the object as fast as you can to get a good score.

High Tea Solitaire. While my siblings and I played card games for fun while growing up, there were times when they were not around or when I had no playmates around. And that’s when I started playing Solitaire games to amuse myself. Because after all, why can’t you have fun by yourself? High Tea Solitaire is a timed 10-stage turn-1 version of Klondike Solitaire themed after a nice tea break. If you’re like me who relishes a solitaire game or two, I think this game is for you.

Cycle Sprint. To be honest I’m not really into sports. The only exception for me is basketball which I liked enough to play a bit (along with chess) during my preteen and teen years. Watching boxing also interests me. But that’s about it. So I really had no plan to play some sports games but then I came across Cycle Sprint which I thoroughly enjoyed! It’s a bicycle racing game where you can race in Italy, France, or Spain. It is so much fun and a great exercise, by the way, for hand-eye coordination as you play the game.

In the end, it turned out, that Cycle Sprint ranked first for me among the five games. I actually found it quite surprising that I liked it best. Which is really true about many things in life, isn’t it? Sometimes, we can end up liking or appreciating more the things that were not appealing to us initially.
So, how about you? Need some chill time? Perhaps it’s time to check an online game with your phone, tablet or laptop. And then, it’s game on!
