For music lovers, travelling outside the country is also an opportunity to check out musical instruments available and perhaps even on sale (!).
Drum sets and keyboards can be a bit heavy and challenging to bring home. And guitars seem to be the easier instrument to purchase and bring home for one’s use or for a loved one’s use.  And so a trip to the US for instance can mean dropping by that guitar center pittsburgh if you happen to be in Pittsburgh.
One has to always remember though that buying a musical instrument while on travel also means you have to ensure being able to take care of it as you hop planes and wait out on airports for flights. On the other hand, you can play music while waiting for your flight 🙂
