I am enjoying the sights of Lake Como onboard a Battello, a slow boat which is great for taking photos (it has an outside deck) and travels leisurely. The other two types of boat that run along the lake for public transport are Aliscafo, a rapid-service by hydrofoil, and Traghetto, a car ferry that services the central lake area.
My day trip to Lake Como turned out to be an adventure as it was the day of the transport strike, and my flight out of Italy was that evening. Did I make it back from there in time to catch my plane?
