One friend of mine said, you either love the durian fruit or hate it. There can be no neutral feeling towards this fruit with quite a distinctive smell 🙂 Well, you can count me in as one of those who love it 🙂
Some friends from New Zealand claim that the best tasting durian in the world is found in Malaysia. Well, I am not sure about that. Although I have been to Malaysia, I didn’t get the chance to taste their durian while I was there. I have tried durian in the Philippines (particularly from Davao), Thailand and Singapore. Guess what? I think it is delicious whichever place it came from.

I will never enjoy the goodness of durian because I can’t stand its smell. I haven’t tried eating it yet.

Not really 🙂 It has a different kind of sweet and creamy, too 🙂 It has a strong, distinct smell that’s why some people don’t really like it.

Durian feasting is always fun and great when it is spent with friends or family! Kaya ayaw soloha na Ma’am aron di ka matuk-an. Just kidding! I love Durian, but for reasons I don’t know why, dali ra ko masumhan. Di ko kahurot ug more than one flesh from its liso. But I sure enjoy seeing my companions feasting on them! 😀 I’ve heard that the best durian is from Thailand daw. When I lived in Davao and had a lot of them, I would say the Davao kind are the best! But when I’ve tasted the ones bore from our own durian tree in Bukidnon, I concluded that those the the best kinds! 🙂
I miss eating them. Maabot diri kay frozen from thailand and I dread its smell na. Lahi ra jud ang presko kaayo nga open.

There is a ‘Miss Durian World beauty/fashion show, but i am unsure in the entrants have to eat durian on stage.! Or have a face like a durian.
We live 3km from Noen Soong which is the main market/selling and distribution point for local durian. Chanthaburi produces 80% of the Thailand durian export crop of 220,000 tonnes, it goes mainly to China (40%) and Malaysia, Cambodia, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore.
