How About an Elephant Massage?

Yes, that’s me. And do not judge the elephant. The huge land mammal is not trampling me to death but rather gently massaging me in the Land of Smiles, the Kingdom of Thailand πŸ™‚
This is not for the fainthearted but if you do want a different kind of massage, you can have this in different parts of Thailand where there are a number of elephants such as in Β Chiang Mai, Chaam, Huahin and even in Phuket. Usually, you can have this massage where you can also have elephant rides. In my case, there was an elephant show first after my friends and I had a ride on the elephants. After the show, the elephant trainers asked us and the audience if there was anyone who wanted to try an elephant massage. I do not know why I ended up volunteering my small self and totally forgetting any possible danger such as: What if the elephant “massaged” me too hard or if something surprised the lovely elephant too much and it would run and yes, trample me to death in the process?Β Ah, but I lived to tell the tale.
Just a note though before you say you are ready for an elephant massage, don’t look up while the elephant is massaging your body. That way, you will not be bothered by how gigantic this mammal really is from your fragile angle on the ground πŸ™‚
